Fundraiser for Ryan Christian on March 20th

Save your money, save the date!

OK, I know most of you all will be at the last game of the regular season between the Brahmas and the Mudbugs anyway, but I want you to think about something else going on that day.

Instead of my usual spot at the Brahmas bench, I'll be manning a table inside the NYTEX Sports Centre with lots of cool stuff for sale in order to raise money for the family of Missouri Mavericks winger Jeff Christian.

I need your help.

You may or may not have heard that Christian's precious eight year old daughter, Ryan is battling a rare cancer of the adrenal glands called Pediatric Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma that affects literally one or two people in a million. Ryan has recently been moved to St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, a facility known world-wide as a premier cancer center for children.

Obviously, there are great costs involved with Ryan’s travel and care and there are numerous plans underway to assist the Christian family with those costs.

Which brings me to March 20th. It's time to give back. I'll be selling a number of one-of-a-kind enlarged autographed photos of the Brahmas (and some of the Mudbugs, too). I'll also be donating some items from my personal collection including a hockey stick signed by the 2009-10 Dallas Stars and some Brahmas stuff, too (of course). The Brahmas organization will be donating a team signed item as well and I'll be collecting some other goodies in the meantime.

I'll also be collecting monetary donations (checks only, please) as well. 100% of all proceeds will be sent to the Christian family.

If there is anyone that would like to donate an item for the cause, please send me an e-mail at brahmasinsider@sbcglobal.net

Otherwise, set some money aside and help me out with this effort for Ryan's sake!
