Casey Russell and Alexandre Lacombe waived

News of the first cuts to the Brahmas training camp roster has hit Pointstreak. Defenseman Casey Russell and forward Alexandre Lacombe have been placed on waivers. That makes five forwards released including Jason Bloomingburg, Jeff Gumaer, Kevin Huck and Brett Pikington. Russell joins Joey Wilson as released defensemen.

22 names are on the roster as of today with eight defensemen, 12 forwards and two goaltenders. I think it's safe to say both Jaeger and Palmer are safe. With three more cuts expected this week, I'll update as soon as I hear more...
