Alex Curran back after a solid rookie season

Steady forward adds defensive component

The Texas Brahmas have announced the re-signing of forward Alex Curran for the upcoming 2011-12 campaign.

In his rookie year, the 6' 2", 191-pound native of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick registered 23 points (10 G, 13 A) and 54 penalty minutes in 62 games.

Prior to signing with the Brahmas, Curran played four seasons with Saint Lawrence University (ECAC). As a member of the Saints, Curran recorded 62 points (19 G, 43 A) and 92 PIM in 153 games played.

Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong is optimistic about the return of Curran for the upcoming season.

“Alex is the type of player who continued to improve throughout the season, and with a year of experience under his belt and a sound defensive mind, I believe he has the potential for a breakthrough season,” Wildfong said.
