Brett Jaeger named Oakley/CHL Goaltender of the Week

1.44 GAA, .953 save percentage for week ending December 13th

From the Texas Brahmas press release:

Sixty one saves, two wins and brilliant play between the pipes earned Texas Brahmas goaltender Brett Jaeger the Central Hockey League's "Goaltender of the Week" honors for his play in the week of December 6-12.

Jaeger earned victories number six and seven for the season over the weekend with wins over the Arizona Sundogs and Tulsa Oilers. On Friday, the Peace River, Alberta native closed the door on 35 shots against the Sundogs to help the purple and black earn a 3-2 overtime win.

On Saturday, Jaeger packed his strong play with him as the Brahmas traveled to Tulsa for a Texas-Oklahoma tilt. In the game, Jaeger allowed just one goal and stopped 26 shots for his fourth consecutive victory in net and the Brahmas sixth straight win.

Last season the netminder led the CHL in save percentage in the regular season (.929) and sat atop the leader board in the post season with a 2.20 GAA and a .930 save %. His stellar play led the Texas Brahmas to their first Championship, winning the President’s Cup in May.
