It's no surprise to Texas Brahmas fans but for those that don't know, Brett Jaeger was named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week - for the second consecutive week and the third time this season (he also won the award on December 14th and February 15th).
He joins Odessa's Joel Martin as the only back stoppers to win the weekly award in consecutive weeks.
Jaeger finished the week with three wins, allowing just one goal in each game. His wins included a shootout victory over Allen on February 15th where he stopped 43 of 44 shots and a victory over the league-leading offense of Odessa where he allowed just one goal on 36 shots.
For the week, the Peace River, Alberta native stopped 104 of 107 shots he faced for a save percentage of .972. Jaeger has won eight straight decisions, allowing just 10 goals over that stretch and is 17-10-1 on the season.
Jaeger is currently second in the league with a 2.45 GAA and third with a .921 save percentage. He is fifth in wins with 17, sixth with games played at 29 and now leads all CHL goalies with 42 Star Points.
