Three Brahmas, three Sundogs placed on league suspension

Saturday night’s brawls take their toll

The Central Hockey League has placed six players on suspension for their actions in the second period brawl that took place during Saturday night’s game at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

The Brahmas’ Todd Griffith received the heftiest penalty at four games. He’ll be available to play on November 23rd, when the Brahmas travel to the Ector County Coliseum to take on the Odessa Jackalopes. In addition, Jason Deitsch and defenseman Ross Rouleau received two game suspensions. They will miss this weekend’s home games against Odessa and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees but will be able to play on November 19th when the Brahmas travel to the border to play the Laredo Bucks.

For the Sundogs, Adam Smyth received a one game suspension (apparently for a later Clipping incident) while defensemen Clayton Barthel (?) and Tyler Butler received two and one game suspensions, respectively.
