Texas Brahmas defenseman Ryan Waldner placed on waivers

Veteran rumoured to be signing soon

Rookie defenseman Ryan Waldner was placed on waivers today according to Pointstreak.com. Waldner had signed with the Brahmas on October 24th after being traded by the Amarillo Gorillas. He played in seven games with the bulls.

Waldner is the third defenseman to be released this season. Alex Grieg was traded to Amarillo on October 18th. Ross Rouleau was placed on waivers on October 23rd.

Chris Mann's name has been removed from the roster on the Brahmas website and also on the Pointstreak.com roster listing. The team had announced his re-signing on August 25th. Mann did not report to camp and remained in Canada due to a personal matter. It is safe to say that he will not be returning to the team.

Rumors have been going around that Dan Wildfong has signed a veteran defenseman with AHL experience. So far, there has been no confirmation of this by the team. With just five defensemen showing on the roster, a new addition is expected soon.
