Cruthers returns to the ECHL

Signs with Reading Royals

As I suspected, Ryan Cruthers has returned to the ECHL after having been waived by the Brahmas. It was announced today that the Reading Royals signed Cruthers on Saturday after loaning forward Gavin Morgan to the Hershey Bears (AHL).

I figured either the Royals or the Johnstown Chiefs would be Cruthers' next stop after essentially deciding that the CHL was not for him (what is now known as Lance Galbraith Syndrome).

He played last season (his rookie year) in the ECHL with the Mississippi Sea Wolves and led the team in goals (29), assists (37) and points (66). He was also called up to the AHL for nine games. Ryan has a great future ahead of him and I wish him the best of luck.
