According to Pointstreak.com, the Texas Brahmas have signed second year defenseman Danny Force. No team announcement has been made as of yet.

Force, 24, attended Southlake Carroll High School. He played Junior A hockey with the Boston Bulldogs. As a senior defenseman for Oklahoma University (ACHA), Force scored 24 points (14 G, 10 A) and served 68 penalty minutes in 24 games played.

In January, 2007 he was chosen for the U.S. University Select Team that competed in the Winter World University Games in Turin, Italy.

Force, who stands 6’1” at 205lbs, played four games with the Indiana Ice Miners (MAHL) last season and tallied four assists and four penalty minutes. This season, he played two games with the Jersey Rockhoppers (EPHL), scoring one goal and serving five penalty minutes.

“Dan is a solid defenseman who plays aggressively. He also has a big shot that we will look to utilize on powerplay opportunities,” said Rockhoppers coach Brian Gratz when Force signed with the team.

He participated in the Texas Brahmas "Making the Cut" tryouts and was later cut from the Oklahoma Blazers' pre-season roster in mid-October, just before their season opener.
