Former Brahma defenseman Adam Davis returns

Played four seasons with the Fort Worth Brahmas

Former Fort Worth Brahmas defenseman Adam Davis has signed on with the Texas Brahmas for one game (tonight vs. Wichita) to serve as a fill-in for players on injured reserve. Davis, 28, last played in the Central Hockey League with the Austin Ice Bats during the 2006-07 season.

The 6', 1", 190-pounder from Dearborn Heights, Michigan will be a welcome addition to the depleted Brahmas blue line.

Davis began his hockey career in the NAHL, playing a season with the Danville Wings (1997-98) and two seasons with the Texas Tornado (1999-00, 2000-01).

He began his professional career playing for four season with the Fort Worth Brahmas from 2001-2005. Despite missing the 2002-03 season’s final eleven games because of injury, Davis led all Brahmas blueliners in points with 20 (4 G, 16A). He and left wing Chad Woollard participated in a Dallas Stars developmental camp in the fall of 2004. During his time in Fort Worth, Davis tallied 69 points (17 G, 52 A) and 227 penalty minutes in 238 regular season games. During the 2001-02 playoffs, he had two points (1 G, 1 A) and four penalty minutes in four games played.

As the result of an off-season trade (for Dion Hyman - remember him?), he played for the Laredo Bucks in 2005-06 when they won the Ray Miron President’s Cup. He then played for the Austin Ice Bats in 2006-07.

Davis is often seen at NYTEX where he practices and works out to stay in condition. He is the Brother of former Brahma and current Rocky Mountain Rage center Aaron Davis. They previously played together with the Fort Worth Brahmas and with the Austin Ice Bats.
