- The Brahmas' Ladies Hockey 101 was a great success with over 70 attendees. Activities began with team building exercises and a meal from ZuRoma before students were sent to the ice where the women were taught hockey jargon as well how to sharpen skates and the proper equipment to wear in hockey. The three-hour class concluded with a tour of the Brahmas locker room and a brief run through in the day of a hockey player. Twelve Brahmas players, Athetic Trainer Tom Hart and Equipment Manager Phil Shipp joined Head Coach Dan Wildfong in the instruction.
- Speaking of Dan Wildfong, he earned the Texas Brahmas' franchise record with 63 coaching wins (Surpassing Terry Menard's 62 wins) as of Friday night's victory over the Arizona Sundogs.
- Goaltender Brett Jaeger is now tied for number one in the league (with Oklahoma's Doug Groenstege) for the best save percentage at .924
- Rookie forward Pete Rouleau and his wife Maren welcomed a little girl into the world on January 15th. Kaelyn Marie Rouleau weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Mother and child are doing well. Pete is expected back with the team soon.
- Wearing the number seven for the San Antonio Rampage (AHL), Justin Kinnunen was a +1 in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Peoria Rivermen.
- Defenseman Mike Vellinga is recuperating nicely after a minor procedure on his hip. He is expected back in the Brahmas lineup soon.
- Thanks to sell-outs of the last two home games, the Brahmas surpassed Amarillo in attendance this season with an average of 1,929 tickets sold per game. This is 100 tickets more per game than the Brahmas season average last year.
