Brahmas travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Blazers

Bulls looking for sixth straight road win tonight

In a battle between Northeast and Southeast Division leaders, the Texas Brahmas are at the Ford Center tonight to take on the Oklahoma City Blazers. The Brahmas are seeking their sixth straight road win and with it, a six-point lead over the Laredo Bucks.

The Brahmas have been on fire lately and are coming off a 5-4 win against the Tulsa Oilers last night in which Grant Jacobsen scored a hat trick and Scott Sheppard scored two goals. Craig Minard had four assists on the night. It was their second consecutive game with a hat trick and their fifth straight road victory.

The Blazers at 19-9-4 have been in a slump lately, losing their last five games in a row. They have lost their last five at the Ford Center and have not had a home win since December 12th.

The two teams last met on December 27th, a game the Blazers would likely rather forget as they blew a 3-1 lead in the third period to lose 4-3.

Doug Groenestege will get the start in net. Brett Jaeger is expected in the net for Texas.

The Brahmas will be without Mike Vellinga who is on injured reserve and did not travel. The Blazers are without Robin Gomez, also out on IR.

The game begins at 7:10pm and will be shown on Nifty-TV
