Brett Jaeger named Oakley/CHL goaltender of the week

Brahmas backstopper recognized by the league

The Central Hockey League announced that the recipient for the Oakley/CHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending January 18th, 2009 is the Brahmas own Brett Jaeger.

Jaeger went 2-0 last week and has won nine of his last 10 games. On Friday night, Jaeger stopped all 37 shots he faced earning his second shutout of the season against the Arizona Sundogs. He followed that up with a 27 save performance in the Brahmas 6-2 win over the Laredo Bucks on Saturday night.

Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong commented on Jaeger's honor.

"Jaegs has been unbelievable for us this season. It's great to see him get acknowledged for his play and commitment in goal," said Wildfong.

On the season, Jaeger is tied for second in the league with 18 wins, tied for first with a .924 save percentage and is third with a 2.36 goals against average.

In recognition of his achievement, Jaeger will receive a special gift from Oakley.
