Brahmas add Nutkevitch to playoff roster

Former SUNY-Potsdam Bears captain adds scoring touch

The Texas Brahmas have signed Sy Nutkevitch to the roster according to Pointstreak. Nutkevitch, who arrived in town earlier this week, has been seen in practice and around NYTEX for the past several days.

The 6', 172 pound native of Montreal, Quebec spent his collegiate career at SUNY-Potsdam (SUNYAC), where he accumulated 103 points (26 G, 77 A) over the past four seasons. As a senior, Nutkevitch was named team captain and tallied 40 points (9 G, 31 A). He led the conference in assists and was second in the country in assists-per-game (1.20). He earned All-State University of New York Athletic Conference honors in February and was named to the second team.

Prior to attending SUNY-Potsdam, Nutkevitch played Junior hockey with the Cornwall Colts (CJHL) in 2007-08, where he contributed 57 points (26 G, 31 A) and 60 penalty minutes in 60 games played. Nutkevitch tallied 17 points (7 G, 10 A) on the power play as well as three game-winning goals.
