Former Texas Brahma Blair Manning goes to the IHL

Signs with the Kalamazoo K-Wings

Kalamazoo Wings announced the signing of veteran forward Blair Manning last Wednesday.
A 13-year professional, Manning had an assist in his K-Wings debut against the Flint Generals on Thursday night. The K-Wings won 7-4.

Manning started this season in the Central Hockey League with the Rapid City Rush.

During his career, Manning has registered 781 points (211 G, 570 A) in 811 games.
The native of Vancouver, British Columbia reached a personal milestone earlier this season, when he played in his 800th career game on October 18th against the Colorado Eagles.

“He (Manning) is a top six forward that brings a lot to our team offensively and defensively,” K-Wings General Manager Wade Welsh told the Sturgis Journal. “Blair was been a captain for nine of his teams and will increase an already incredible amount of leadership on our team.”

Beginning his pro career during the 1995-96 season, Manning has averaged over 60 points a season.
