Jason Deitsch recalled by the Houston Aeros

Texas Brahmas forward returns to the AHL as injury fill in

The Texas Brahmas' Jason Deitsch has been recalled to the AHL's Houston Aeros and will report immediately to the team.

With injuries to forwards Bryan Lundbohm (groin) and Ryan Hamilton (undisclosed) in Tuesdayʼs loss to the Manitoba Moose, the Aeros needed some players for Thursdayʼs rematch.

Aeros general manager Tom Lynn re-signed Deitsch and signed Mike Hamilton to tryout contracts. Both will be available for Thursdayʼs matinee game (11 a.m.) against Manitoba. Deitsch will wear No. 11.

The Aeros are currently in 6th place in the West Division with a 10-10-1-1 record. Deitsch, 28, tallied 7 points (2 G, 5 A) during 10 games played with their in mid-October through mid-November.

Since his return to the Brahmas, he scored 11 points in eight games.
