Brahmas make first appearance at the BOK Center
The Texas Brahmas (11-5-1) take on the Tulsa Oilers (4-10-2) tonight at the BOK Center in Tulsa .
The Brahmas dominated the Oilers in a 6-2 win at the NYTEX Sports Center on November 22nd. They have a 4-3-1 road record, having struggled against teams as good as the Oklahoma City Blazers and as bad as the Amarillo Gorillas.
The Brahmas will be without forwards Matt Burto and Pete Rouleau who are out on injured reserve.
Tulsa is 3-4-1 at the BOK Center and has lost three of their last four games at home.
The Oilers have yet to find their rhythm this season despite excellent play from forwards Jeff Christian (Oakley CHL Player of the Week) who had eight points in three games this past week. and Michel Beausoleil (Sher-Wood/Central Hockey League Player of the Month for the month of November/2008) who is on a 14-game point streak, scoring seven goals with 18 assists over that stretch.
Tulsa has also struggled on special teams. They are 14th in the league on the power play and last in the league on the penalty kill. They are also the third most penalized team in the league behind Arizona and Oklahoma City .
The game starts at 7:05pm and can be seen on Nifty-TV or can be listened to here
